Let Loose in Lawrence

Lawrence, the county seat of Douglas County in eastern Kansas, is a fine city and set just 40 minutes from Kansas City, KS - not Missouri. Accessed easily from I-70, Lawrence is home to the University of Kansas Jayhawks, and the Watkins Community Museum of History. Fall, winter and spring travelers no doubt want to visit the University of Kansas campus, and head to Allen Fieldhouse where the University of Kansas Jayhawks slam and jam their way through the Big 12 conference in hopes of securing yet another bid into the NCAA March Madness tournament.
